Developing an impact investment strategy and measurement for Zubi Capital an Impact Investment Fund
Hands-on Impact developed the full definition of the impact investment model for an Impact Fund, signatory to IFC’s Operating Principles for Impact Management, through 2 projects:
Impact investment strategy
In an initial stage, the impact investment strategy was designed and the hypothesis validated. From identifying global challenges established by international organizations, we developed a logical model to validate the impact hypothesis and we analyzed which business models helped contribute towards them. We then helped Zubi Capital select the 10 most relevant ones, that through their investments will be prioritized as an impact strategy.
Once designed the strategy, we supported them with policies constitution and mandatory documentation to both register legally and create their informative brochure.
Development of a tool aimed to facilitate investment decision making, as well as investments’ impact measurement.
This last stage, in constant evolution, is creating and developing a tool to help investment decision making. Through incorporating ESG and impact variables, the tools helps analyzing each potential company’s viability through two lengths: have a sustainable business model (negative screening, ESG compliance and ESG risks) and an impact model following the 5 dimensions of Impact Management Project. The same tool also allows the fund to monitor quarterly their investments, through impact KPIs.
